FCT Zoom On line Learning!

FCT tutors now offer ZOOM On-line learning tution!

FCT tutors have been able to demonstrate their resourcefulness and adaptability during The Covid 19 lockdown and have continued to provide high quality tutoring utilising Zoom Learning sessions. Continuing to support families during this time has been a lifeline for them; with many parents commenting on how FCT have provided emotional support as well as learning support.

Zoom Online learning has proved to be an extremely powerful learning tool, enabling tutors and students to engage in individually planned interactive learning, even in this difficult time.

FCT now offering Key Stage 3 and 4 English and GCSE support!

FCT are now also offering Key stage 3 and 4 English and GCSE support for English, 11+ English and Grammar support for those children taking entrance exams for Grammar schools.

FCT continues to provide high quality support in all areas of Key stage 1 and 2, Maths, English and foundation subjects, as well as Key Stage 1 Phonics support.

Individualised Learning Support

We will always get to know your child's strengths and learning preference

At FCT we always take the time to get to know each child. We discuss their interests, strengths and concerns. FCT will listen to their preferred ways of learning and carefully match these to the individualised learning programme.

With over 30 years combined teaching knowledge and experience we pride ourselves in being able to engage and motivate, build confidence and self esteem and develop a 'Growth Mindset' approach to learning.

FCT teachers will provide regular feedback, details of targets being supported and progress being made following each session.

Subject Knowledge Skills and Strategies

Primary National Curriculum for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

FCT teachers have exemplary knowledge of the New Primary Curriculum, along with the understanding of how children all learn in different ways, at different speeds and require different strategies. This is why FCT will prepare individualised learning programmes. FCT teachers understand education is not a 'one size fits all' process.With over 30 years teaching practice we have a wealth of different strategies to support your child.

At FCT we also ensure any taught strategies are also shared with the parent/carers to help embed the learning between sessions.

Support at Meetings

FCT can act as your advocate at meetings with your child's school. One of the FCT Team can attend meetings with you for support, offer advice to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Parent Workshops

FCT hold additional parent workshops for small groups.

These groups can run as one off sessions to give support and advice on supporting your child in specific learning areas, focus on key learning skills and strategies or develop understanding of Special Educational Needs.

Special Educational Needs Support

FCT can offer parent and child support if your child has an identified Special Educational Need (SEND) or if you have concerns that your child may have a specific learning challenge.We can support with the Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) process, referrals, support at SEND meetings at the school, attend EHCP annual reviews to help ensure the best possible outcomes for your child.
