What is a 'Growth Mindset'?
Growth Mindset is the difference between thinking you can only excel at something if you have a specific talent for and the belief in the power of 'Yet.'
“In a growth mindset, people believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work—brains and talent
are just the starting point. This view creates a love of learning
and a resilience that is essential for great accomplishment,” C.Dweck.
Learning with a growth mindset enables you to see your learning skills and qualities as changeable through hard work and dedication. Whereas those with a fixed mindset believe that no matter what they do, they cannot change their intelligence.
“Everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish on it’s ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing it is stupid.” ~Albert Einstein
